Who is Jerry Williams?

Major Jerry Williams, a 31-year veteran of the state police, is a career crime fighter with an amazing public service record and a reputation for working under the highest levels of integrity and transparency.

Jerry Williams is married to his wife Doris. He is a father to seven children, four sons and three daughters. Three of his sons have committed themselves to careers in public service.  He is also a grandfather to 10 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren.

Jerry and Doris Williams are longtime members of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana.

A lifelong resident of Lake County, Major Williams grew up in Gary and graduated from Horace Mann High School.
